We've been working hard to add new statistics to the Blocktap on-chain time series data. We're happy to announce the addition of several new features:

  • Active Address Count - the set of unique addresses (sent or received) in a period of time. This represents the upper bound of people sending and receiving bitcoin.
  • Active Sent Address Count - the set of unique addresses that sent bitcoin in a period of time. This represents the upper bound of people sending bitcoin.
  • Active Receive Address Count - the set of unique addresses that received bitcoin in a period of time. This represents the upper bound of people receiving bitcoin.
  • Mean Fees per Tx - mean fees for all transactions during the period.
  • Median Fees per Tx - median fees for all transactions during the period.
  • Mean Transaction Value - mean value of all transactions during the period.
  • Median Transaction Value - median value of all transactions during the period.

These features are presently only available for Bitcoin. We'll be adding them to Litecoin shortly.

Here is an example query you can run with the link below:

query newBtcFeatures {
  timeseries(resolution:_1d limit: 30){
    startDate
    assets(filter:{assetSymbol:{_eq:"BTC"}}){
      ...on TimeSeriesBtc{
        onchain {
          meanFeesPerTx
          medianFeesPerTx
          meanValueOutPerTx
          medianValueOutPerTx
          activeAddressCount
          activeSendAddressCount
          activeReceiveAddressCount
        }
      }
    }
  }
}
